Humanity - The Hume Diversity Short Film Festival is a new local film competition focusing on the positive impact Hume's diversity makes on the community.
Dianella Health is pleased to announce the inaugural Humanity short film competition. Humanity provides a creative platform for local filmmakers to share positive stories of social inclusion and diversity within the area.
Comedy sensation Dilruk Jayasinha will be appearing at Humanity – The Hume Diversity Short Film Festival, a free event at the Broadmeadows Global Learning Centre, Wednesday 21 March.
An initiative of Dianella’s Population Health team, Dilruk will MC Humanity as it showcases shortlisted movies vying for $3,000 worth of video and photography equipment, as well as featured cultural performances and food. The short films screening on the night - all made by or featuring people who live, work, study or play within Hume - will portray positive messages of social inclusion and diversity.
Meet the filmmakers, enjoy a delicious middle eastern meal after the award presentations and hear from Dilruk, who appears frequently on television in Have You Been Paying Attention? and Cram! for Channel 10, on Just for Laughs at the Sydney Opera House for The Comedy Channel, and Utopia for the ABC
Humanity is a free event. RSVPs are essential.
